The film's 4K screening ranked at #6 in its opening weekend and earned an estimated US$2,000,591 on Friday, an estimated US$1,083,891 on Saturday, and an estimated US$920,000 on Sunday. GKIDS announced the film's 4K restoration screening exclusively to IMAX theaters in North America beginning on March 26 to celebrate Studio Ghibli's 40th anniversary. The film is available with Japanese audio and English subtitles, as well as with the English dub.Studio Ghibli animator Atsushi Okui oversaw the 4K restoration of the film.
